Interview 24.docx

A huge warm welcome to our 23rd Global Citizen, Nick Higton.

Nick is a 40 year old British singer/songwriter. He has spent the last 2 years in Carshalton where he has been living his dream; for the past 8 months he has been working as a singer/songwriter performing his first album. You can hear songs from his album here on Soundcloud.

Thank you Nick for sharing your thoughts with Global Citizens.

What makes you happy?

It is a place where any dream or feeling can be expressed without the normal everyday barriers we all face in one way or another.

Anything imagined is possible.

What makes you sad?

Suffering either mental or physical.

It is a right of passage we all continue to face to grow as people.

It offers no comfort, no pity or support.

It will test you until the end.

What makes you proud?

Seeing people achieve their goals.

It takes commitment, determination and hard work to pursue an objective along with the experience of isolation, disappointment and self doubt.

Nothing worthwhile earned came easy so give a little respect where it is due.

What makes you wonder?

The stars, the ocean and most certainly women!

Is life an evolution of various elements that exist in the Cosmos or is life created by a being of unimaginable power with a taste in great beauty?

I once sang, “I have millions of questions and so many theories”

What does it mean to be human?

To feel.

To gain knowledge.

To understand you are only passing through, this isn’t forever.

To be a light in the darkness to others even when your life is without sunlight.

What do you imagine to be possible?

What was the last goal you achieved?

Who have you brought light to recently?

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to read Global Citizens.

Have a great day.
